ALMA is a compact black record player made for easy, flexible listening. Its portable format, two built-in speakers and Bluetooth connectivity mean you can enjoy music without carrying an amplifier or separate speakers.

Gentler everyday handling
A cueing lever lowers the tonearm in a controlled movement, helping you place the stylus accurately. Automatic stop halts the platter at the end of the side, reducing unnecessary wear if you do not lift the arm immediately.
Bluetooth built in
Stream music from a phone through ALMA’s speakers when you are not playing vinyl. The player becomes a versatile everyday audio system rather than a single-purpose device.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy anything else to play my records?
No. ALMA has two front-facing stereo speakers built in, so it plays your records on its own. Plug it in, put a record on and lower the arm.
Can I connect it to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones?
No. On ALMA, Bluetooth works the other way round: it receives music from your phone and plays it through the built-in speakers. To play your records through other speakers, use the RCA output with the cable supplied. For private listening, use the headphone socket.
Can I plug it into my hi-fi, powered speakers or soundbar?
Yes, through the RCA output: connect it to an amplifier or a pair of powered speakers with the RCA cable supplied. A soundbar only works if it has an analogue input (AUX or RCA). Not sure? Tell us what you already own on the Contact page and we will check before you order.
Is there anything to set up before the first record?
No. The cartridge is already fitted and the arm needs no adjustment. Take it out of the box, plug it in and play.
Does it stop by itself at the end of a record?
Yes, and you can switch the automatic stop on or off. A cueing lever raises and lowers the arm gently.
Which records can it play?
12-inch LPs, 7-inch singles and 10-inch records, at 33, 45 and 78 rpm. The 45 rpm adaptor for singles is in the box.
What sound should I expect?
Two front-facing stereo speakers built into the case. For more volume and bass, connect ALMA to bigger speakers through the RCA output.
Will it damage my records?
No. ALMA plays your records without damaging them. Keep your records and the stylus free of dust, and replace the stylus when it wears: a worn stylus is what marks a record.
Can the stylus be replaced?
The stylus is a wearing part. When yours needs changing, message us from the Contact page, mention ALMA, and we will tell you which replacement fits.
What is in the box?
The ALMA record player in its carrying case, with the cartridge fitted, plus an RCA cable, a 45 rpm adaptor stored in the player and the mains adaptor.
How is ALMA different from the other Bireka record players?

When will I receive it, and what does delivery cost?
Delivery is free in the United Kingdom. Orders leave within 24 to 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays) and then take 5 to 8 working days to arrive: allow 6 to 10 working days in total. You receive a tracking number as soon as your parcel is dispatched.
What if it does not suit me, or arrives faulty?
You have 14 days from delivery to ask for an exchange or a refund. If it arrives damaged or develops a fault, message us from the Contact page with your order number: every Bireka record player is covered by a two-year warranty.
